MoreHow high are the fees for selling baht?
If you have purchased your Thai baht from us within the last two months, you can exchange them with the purchase receipt free of charge at the respective counter purchase rate. Additionally, the exchange is not only fee-free but also at the same rate if you have exchanged a currency equivalent to at least €400 with us within the last 30 days (up to a value of €1,000).
For baht not exchanged with us or exchanged with us more than 60 days ago, a fee of up to €10 will be charged.

You can repurchase the sold baht free of charge at the respective counter selling rate within two months with the sales receipt.

The difference between the buying and selling rates of Thai baht (spread) reflects the costs associated with currency trading, including administrative costs, inventory holding, and providing qualified service to our customers. Additionally, market conditions and associated risks also influence the spread.

As a bank, we require proof of origin in addition to a valid identification document for transactions exceeding €2,500 (including fees). Since August 8, 2021, the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) requires a suitable proof of the money's origin to be presented, which convincingly demonstrates the origin of the submitted assets.

No, there is no legal upper limit. However, depending on the exchange volume, identification documents and proof of origin may be required. For transactions exceeding €50,000, please contact one of our employees at one of our over 80 branches in Germany beforehand to ensure the process is as smooth as possible for you.
